At Rincon, the Sunnyside Blue Devils scored on all six first-half possessions, taking a 42-0 halftime lead. Sunnyside running back Manny Aguilar capped a 45-yard opening drive with an 8-yard TD run and ended the night with three touchdowns, all coming in the first 13 minutes of the game. Rincon struggled to move the ball, and had just four first downs to Sunnyside's 16.

• Highlight reel: On their second possession, the Blue Devils recovered a Rangers fumble at midfield, and Blue Devils quarterback Jesus Vega threw a 50-yard TD pass to Brandon Vaughn for a 14-0 lead.

• Player of the game: Aguilar had 14 carries for 124 yards and three TDs — all in one half.

• He said it: "Our coaches told us this is our first playoff game. Our whole team, they executed, and all came out ready to play." —Aguilar
